CEO America Scholarship
The Children’s Educational Opportunity Fund was created for the specific purpose of helping families make the move from public to private school. Jim Saunders, founder and president, believes that school choice will never become a reality in Pennsylvania until "the parents we are trying to help get involved in the political system and demand a choice of schools, without cost, in their neighborhoods."
To that end, he tells every parent that wins a scholarship to attend the public school board meetings in their district and insist on tuition grants for their children, as provided by Act 85, Section 1711 of the Pennsylvania Tax Code. Act 85 is now Pennsylvania law, providing every child in the state with a tuition grant, funded by state subsidies to each school district. The statute requires a school board vote for tuition grants to be considered.
"We have worked with CEO America many times. Their policy of doubling donations has allowed more students to achieve an extra year of paid tuition. They are the BEST! ”
– Brian Williams, Ret. Director of Development at the Calvary Baptist Christian Academy in Meadville, PA

Family Choice Scholarship
The Family Choice Scholarship Program has provided important, timely help to hundreds of families in Pennsylvania in need. As an approved scholarship organization for the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC), Pre-Kindergarten (PK-SO), and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs, Family Choice has allowed parents of children between Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade to choose the best educational experience for their child, including private and religious schools.
This non-profit initiative is a project of the Pennsylvania Family Institute, allowing businesses to direct some of their tax dollars to scholarship organizations that help needy families send their children to the school of their choice – including private and religious schools.
